Sardinia

I am known in our family for loving a photo of a door. Sometimes I get laughed at for pausing to try and capture a frame of a weather beaten old door. The thing about doors for me is not only is the subject itself interesting, but the imagination of what is behind them lets my brain run wild. A trip to Sardinia resulted in me coming back with many many photos of doors, old walls and various other components of the amazingly characterful Italian architecture. The light here was stunning, even the harsh light of the middle of the day gave a subtle gold tinge to things. I could happily explore much more of the interior of the island and its amazing coast in the future.
